Simon Hall was born on the 3rd February 1969, in Oakley, Bedford, England, and is a journalist and author, best known to the world for his extensive work for BBC as its Crime Correspondent in the South West of England. He is also recognized as the author of novels about Dan Groves, a television crime reporter, and Adam Breen a police detective.

He then transferred to University College, Cardiff, from which he obtained a degree in broadcast journalism.
Simon’s career started in 1996 when he joined the BBC as a trainee, and after a couple of years he became a part of ITV, where he gained experience highly-needed for his further career.
